Directions:
- after cutting out all the pattern pieces according to their respective measurements (shown above), sew the sides of the skirt to the front center piece (side 1 should be on the right, side 2 should be on the left).
- next, sew the bust sides to two of the skirt bottom pieces (sew them together along the bottom). this should create two new long pieces. sew these two pieces to either side of the front of the dress created in step one.
- you have now created the front of the dress. set this aside for now, and start to work on the back. sew the two back side pieces to either side of the top of the back center piece (sew the back side pieces along their longer, vertical edge). this creates the shoulder.
- now, sew two adjacent sides of the remaining skirt bottom pieces to the adjacent sides left by step three on the back. after this step is completed, you have now created the back of the dress.
- now, cut an appropriate length of elastic so that when stretched, it fits comfortably over your shoulder. cut another length of elastic this size, and you should not have two pieces of elastic. sew the elastic to the non-curvy edge of the sleeve strap pieces, stretching the elastic out while sewing. this should create a bunched up effect. set aside the sleeves.
- sew the front and back pieces of the dress together along their sides. make sure not to sew them together in the armhole area.
- sew the shorter edges of the sleeve straps to the front and back of the dress, and you're done! now you're free to adorn your new dress with lace however you wish (the model above shows how i chose to decorate my dress. I'll post pictures of it later).

Nice tutorial ^___^
